Q. I know that streaming media normally do not pass thru a firewall. I am behind a firewall, what can i do?
A. You can ask your system administrator or your ISP to allow or 'open' port 8002 for the Shoutcast to work. To confirm that it is blocked, visit this site and enter port 8002.

Q. How can I access majlis broadcasting through a firewall?
A. You will have to make the following changes to your Windows Media Player Configuration: Windows Media Player 7 (PC) Click on Tools, Select Options, Click Network, Locate Proxy Settings, Double Click HTTP Browser, Select Use browser proxy settings, Click OK, Click OK

Q. My ISP already opened PORT 1755. I still cant get to the streams.
A. Windows.net servers now also uses port 554 for RTSP protocol. You could also try asking your ISP system admin to open this port!
